If you own a country or equestrian property with land ‘MUD’ becomes part of the scenery during the winter months.  Whatever your ‘boots off’ house rules somehow ‘MUD’ always seems to find its way into your home!

Be cleansed and don’t worry!  I am not going to talk about floor cleaning products, I am positively celebrating ‘the sport of mud’ as The Rugby Six Nations Cup takes place in February and March 2017, and I will be an enthusiastic viewer of almost all of the matches.

In years previous I have taken a pilgrimage along with fellow rugby mates to view close up and personal our nations rugby heroes at some of the best stadiums; However, seeing that the pigeons had a better view of the game 20 feet below me, I decided it was time to organise  my own  Rugby Six Nations schedule. So for selected games (normally including Scotland) I host a ‘television Fest’ at my home for fellows of the clan who can enjoy uninterrupted viewing as well as shouting at the TV and a range of basic refreshments. For my least favourite teams  I opt for joining a ‘bawling’ well informed crowd of fellow  rugby revellers at my local pub to ensure  any team matches on TV are well supported – Either way, and whoever you support’ The Rugby Six Nations cup’ is one of the few ‘sporting liveners’ to look forward to during our muddier winter months!

I hope you enjoy the series as much as me and list below the full schedule of fixtures.

The Rugby Six Nations 2017

The Six Nations Championship is without doubt the world's greatest rugby tournament. Each year the collective fans of six proud nations – England, France, Ireland, Italy, Scotland and Wales – share in the passion and excitement of this feast of rugby. Some of the rivalries in this tournament date back more than 140 years, which simply adds to the sense of occasion.

Scotland and Ireland will get the 2017 Six Nations Championship underway with their Saturday afternoon match in Edinburgh on 4th February. Later that same day England and France will meet for 'Le Crunch' at Twickenham. The following day Italy take on Wales in Rome.
